De World Series of Poker 2012 is gisteren van start gegaan met het casino medewerkers toernooi. Hierbij het topic om onze landgenoten hopelijk naar één of meerdere bracelets toe te schreeuwen.

Nog geen Nederlander gespot in het eerste event. Wel een Belg, Kenny Hallaert heeft nog 29.300 chips bij 500/100, 39k average.

Drie Nederlanders deden mee in event 2 maar geen enkele haalde de twee dag.

Tollerene's King-High Call Is Good...Probably

Ben Tollerene lost some chips following his eliminating Alex Kim a little while ago, but gained some back after making a big river call.

Action folded to Dan Buzgon in the small blind and he raised to 3,800. Tollerene three-bet from the big blind, Buzgon called, and an {A-Spades} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} flop fell. Buzgon check-called 7,000 from Tollerene, landing the {3-Hearts} turn. A check from both delivered the {7-Hearts} river. Buzgon bet 19,500, sending Tollerene into the tank. About two minutes passes before Tollerene slid in the chips to call.

Buzgon immediately mucked his hand, while Tollerene showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for king high to take down the pot.

Sickening Table

Earlier in the day we told you how Table 433 started off as a tough table. Well, that has continued into the night as a few more table breaks around the room have seen Table 433 look a little something like this:

Seat 6: Ari Engel

We just did a few small calculations and this sick table has more than $23 million in poker tournament winnings. These sorts of stacked tables are usually reserved for a much higher buy-in event. Keep your eyes locked to your screens as we are sure there is going to be plenty of action coming from Table 433.

Dag 1 afgelopen van event 11 $ 1500 PLO. 970 entries, 117 over. Soepgroente 3e in chips met 115.000 en Noah Boeken 10e in chips met 60.300. Blinds 500/1000. Ze hebben net het geld bereikt.

Van Der Fluit Sliding

Once among the chip leaders, Vincent Van Der Fluit has been on a downward spiral as of late.

In a recent hand, Van Der Fluit (with a diminished stack of just 57,000) min-raised from early position to 4,000. Action folded all the way around to the player in the big blind, who re-raised to 10,000. Van Der Fluit opted to wait for a better spot and quickly mucked his hand.

Boeken Busts

A player raised for 5,200 in early position and action folded around to Noah Boeken in the small bind, who re-popped it to 18,000. The big blind folded and his opponent called to see a flop, which came {J-Spades} {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}.

Boeken immediately went all in for his last 20,000 and was insta-called by his opponent.

"I have a king," the early-position player said. He had {K-Clubs} {6-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}.

"Then I have one out," Boeken replied, showing {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {6-Spades}.

The {2-Clubs} turn and {2-Diamonds} river were no help to Boeken and he was sent to the rail.
