Dinsdag 17 maart heeft de World Poker Tour samen met Holland Casino de World Poker Tour Amsterdam aangekondigd.
Het Main Event zal gehouden worden van maandag 11 tot en met zaterdag 16 mei 2015 in het Holland Casino Amsterdam aan het Max Euweplein. De buy-in is €3.300 met een single re entry per startdag. Het World Poker Tour Amsterdam festival begint al op vrijdag 8 mei, de dag dat de EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo is afgelopen.
Naast een Main Event is er eveneens een High Roller met een buy-in van €6.000 er diverse kleinere side-events en qualifiers aangekondigd. Het programma is enigszins gewijzigd sinds de oorspronkelijke bekendmaking, de High Roller is verplaatst naar zaterdag in plaats van naar de openingsdag van de SCOOP op zondag. Naast een WPT in Amsterdam is er ook aangekondigd dat er ieder jaar voor de komende vier jaar een World Poker Tour National gehouden zal worden in ons land. De eerste daarvan zal gehouden worden op 30 september in Valkenburg met een Main Event van €750 en een High Roller van €1.500.

Historic First WPT® Main Tour Event in Amsterdam Kicks Off May 11; Festival on May 8
Los Angeles, CA (March 17, 2015) — The World Poker Tour® today announced an exclusive four-year partnership with Holland Casino, establishing an annual WPT® Main Tour and WPT National event in the Netherlands through 2019. The first tournament, WPT Amsterdam, kicks off May 11 in the Venice of the North, and features two starting flights and a buy-in of €3,300.
The World Poker Tour will then return to Holland on September 30 for WPT National Valkenburg. The festival begins with a €1,500 buy-in High Roller, followed immediately by Day 1a of the €750 buy-in WPT National Valkenburg Main Event.

Tickets have today been released for all events in the WPT Amsterdam poker festival at Holland Casino. This includes the sale of the new dates for the €6,000 WPT High Roller now, Saturday 9th May and Sunday 10th May.
