Nit / Nitty
Een nit is een tighte/behouden speler. Iemand die 'Nitty' speelt is een 'nit'. Een nit speelt weinig handen, wacht doorgaans op sterke combinaties en bluft minder dan de gemiddelde speler. Een nit durft pas voor value te betten als hij absoluut overtuigd is dat hij de beste hand heeft.
